Although Joe Biden gave away many weapons during his term, President Trump ensured that the U.S. was well prepared, and its munitions stockpiles have never been higher or better. The U.S. has a virtually unlimited supply of weapons, and it can fight this war forever if it has to. Nonetheless, it's only a matter of time before the U.S. will win — and win big — in this conflict.
With Iran using $20,000 drones to deplete interceptors costing $4 million per missile, the war has turned to one of attrition after just days of fighting. These interceptors are being used at rates faster than they can be produced and it has now become a race against time for the U.S. and Israel to achieve their war goals or to end the war. Otherwise, they, alongside other U.S. allies, could become very vulnerable— this is a major issue for the Trump administration.
It's extremely challenging to analyze munition needs in the fog of war and the current information warfare environment. Iran is claiming major achievements against American forces, and the U.S. is refuting Iranian capabilities altogether. Until the true reality is sorted out from exaggeration on both sides, the true picture of weapons needs will remain murky.
