When a government answers peaceful protest with tear gas, broken bones and open contempt, the rage in the streets is justified. Albania's young people are not pawns of foreign plotters; the anger comes from a state that behaves like a mafia firm, laundering money while schools crumble and the coast gets sold off. Real change means dismantling the system.
Torching ministries and blowing up cash machines achieves nothing but another lost decade for a country that can hardly afford one. Change comes through ballots and organized politics, not through masked crowds wrecking property in the name of students who never signed up for it. Violence that nobody will claim responsibility for is simple thuggery, and order has to come first.
