Poland: Gunman Kills 5 in Kraków's Main Market Square

The Facts
- At least five people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured Saturday after a gunman opened fire in the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene.
- Małopolska police said a man drove onto the square at about 3 p.m. local time and began "firing at random people from his car." Kraków is Poland's second-largest city, roughly 155 miles from the capital, Warsaw.
- Officers shot the suspect, who was arrested and taken to a hospital in police custody. The gunman had not been publicly identified, and police had not released information about a possible motive.

Government-critical narrative
Letting millions in with no vetting and no real security plan was always going to end with blood on Polish cobblestones. The same elites who pushed the migration pact and handed Brussels the keys will dodge the blame, while ordinary Poles pay the price. Security in the heart of a Polish city shouldn't be the price of pleasing Brussels.
Pro-government narrative
Scapegoating whole communities before police have established a single fact about the attacker is reckless and cruel. What matters now is a thorough investigation, support for the grieving families and the solidarity of allies standing with Poland. Grief deserves honesty, not political point-scoring.
