The Facts
- Paramount closed its takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery on Tuesday, creating a company called Skydance, valued at roughly $111 billion (including debt). David Ellison will serve as chairman and CEO.
- Mattel's outgoing chief executive, Ynon Kreiz, was named co-CEO to oversee daily operations and integration. Mark Thompson stays as CNN chairman and editor-in-chief, and Casey Bloys will lead direct-to-consumer content.
- Shares of the combined company moved from Nasdaq to the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday under the ticker "SKYD," while Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders received about $31.02 a share in cash.
