Version 7.11.2
Imran Khan's deteriorating health — heart palpitations, skyrocketing blood pressure and severe anxiety — is a direct result of years of unjust isolation that no former leader should endure. Moving him to a hospital is the bare minimum Pakistan owes a man in his 70s who built this nation's cricketing legacy and political conscience. This cycle of political victimization must end now, not get passed down as an acceptable precedent.
The hospital order should not be portrayed as a political victory for Khan or proof that his imprisonment is unjust. The top court's intervention addresses medical treatment, not the convictions keeping him jailed for looting the national treasury and involvement in anti-state activities. Moreover, PTI-approved doctors and specialists with international-level expertise have treated his conditions, according to law and court orders, leaving zero room for claims of medical neglect.
