Sympathies go out to the families of Madison, Kaylee, Xana and Ethan who have already endured unimaginable loss and must now endure further suffering from this latest development. The Office of Attorney General stands ready to do whatever it takes to ensure that justice is delivered in this case.
Establishment-critical narrative
The chain of custody surrounding the knife sheath is tainted and while it is not enough to say it would have caused for the whole case to be dismissed, it certainly would have caused significant problems for the prosecution. This matter, alongside other inconsistencies, deserves to be fully tested by a judge and jury.
