Man Charged Over Ann Widdecombe's Murder

Was Widdecombe's murder a targeted attack on a patriot or a tragedy cynically exploited for political gain?

The Spin

Right narrative

The establishment tried to silence anyone who called Ann Widdecombe's death what it was: a targeted, premeditated attack on a patriotic public figure. Counter Terrorism Policing ultimately confirmed exactly that, vindicating those who refused to accept the "burglary gone wrong" spin. Politicians who speak for the silent majority face real, escalating danger, and pretending otherwise is a disservice to democracy.

Left narrative

To their shame, those on the extreme right of politics have sought to exploit Widdecombe's murder, assigning blame in defiance of police requests to avoid speculation and warnings by Widdecombe's close friends to avoid using her passing as political propaganda. This display follows a pattern of behavior by the likes of Farage and his ilk, who use tragedies to deflect scrutiny of themselves and Reform.
