Tearing down a presidential memorial is not a decision any one person should get to make on a whim. Congress authorized these buildings, Congress funds them and Congress alone should decide whether a single brick comes down. Lee has obstructed Congress' ability to do its job in the face of potential projects that have no plans and no cost estimates. They're insults to the taxpayers who are footing the bill.

Pro-Trump narrative

Trump is attempting to save structures and beautify D.C., but critics who refuse to hand him a win, including some Republicans, keep blocking his path. No one is being helped by this obstruction. If Democrats want to do something bipartisan, they should join Republicans in tackling affordability instead of this manufactured panic over buildings and memorials.
