The Spin

Narrative A

Seeing Biden leave church, frail and escorted by the Secret Service, makes it impossible to ignore what the media spent years dismissing. Aggressive prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones by May 2025 doesn't just appear overnight, yet outlets kept insisting he was fit for another term. The image of him smiling into a waiting car says everything the press refused to say out loud.

Narrative B

Whatever the political differences, no one deserves the pain of advanced cancer. Biden's illness is a reminder that cancer can devastate anyone, regardless of age or status. We can debate his presidency, policies and decisions without losing our humanity. Hopefully he receives excellent care, comfort and time with those he loves. Political battles can wait; compassion shouldn’t.
