The Bari court got it right. A child raised in a stable, loving home by three committed parents deserves full legal recognition. No surrogacy was involved; this was a transparent co-parenting rooted in genuine relationships. Italian law never explicitly banned this arrangement, and the court did what it needed to do — protect the child's well-being.
The Bari ruling is proof that dismantling traditional family law leads to courts redefining parenthood without any legislative mandate. The 2016 Cirinnà Bill cracked open the door, and now a judiciary without restraint is walking through it. A child has one father and one mother, and no court ruling changes what that means for society.
