Acquittal in court never erased the fact that these players breached the Hockey Canada code of conduct. An independent panel and appeal board reviewed everything and still upheld suspensions stretching years into the future. Not guilty in a courtroom does not mean innocent, and Hockey Canada is right to hold the line on accountability.
