The Supreme Court made it clear that TPS was never meant to be permanent. Temporary means temporary, and the Secretary of DHS has sole discretion to end it. Judge Reyes rightly signed the order reversing her previous ruling, so deportations can finally proceed. She had no business overriding a statute that explicitly bars judicial review of these decisions.

This is a cruel ruling that will send hundreds of thousands of Haitians back to a country the U.S. government warns Americans not to travel to without drafting a will. These are working members of American society who have been given about a month to dismantle lives built over decades. The Senate must extend TPS before more families are torn apart.
