French prosecutors confirmed that on Aug. 20, British tourists swimming in Lake Annecy found a semi-automatic pistol at a depth of around 5 feet, a few dozen meters from shore. The weapon bears similarities to the Luger P06 used in a 2012 quadruple murder near Chevaline.
