French authorities are taking the Cocoland threat seriously, launching a formal investigation and expanding action against multiple predator platforms. The High Commissioner for Children referred Chaat.fr, le-garcon.net and Chatiw to prosecutors, filed reports with Pharos and contacted Arcom. Holding hosts, publishers and users accountable — not just shutting down individual sites — is exactly the kind of broad, coordinated response that protects women and kids.
Coco got shut down and simply came back as Cocoland — that alone proves the current legal framework cannot permanently stop these platforms. A comprehensive law against sexual violence is essential, one that fully recognizes drug-facilitated assault, strengthens digital investigative tools and coordinates justice, health care and tech regulation. Piecemeal referrals and site takedowns are not enough when rape academies with millions of users keep multiplying.
