Court Begins 5-Day Kirk Assassination Preliminary Hearing

Is Tyler Robinson's guilt proven by damning evidence or is he a victim of a prosecution built on corrupt evidence?

The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

This is the beginning of the end for Robinson. Prosecutors have DNA linking him to the murder weapon, a note he left saying he planned to kill Kirk and witness testimony placing him at the scene. Kirk's family is living through a nightmare, with every hearing a painful reminder of their loss. Robinson even laughed with his attorney while Kirk's widow wept, and that contrast says everything about who deserves justice here.

Establishment-critical narrative

This hearing is built on evidence the defense hasn't been allowed to properly challenge — text messages that were never vetted for authenticity, key witness testimony played on tape with zero cross-examination allowed, and a bodycam that conveniently died right before the officer found the critical screwdriver. The FBI and ATF withheld discovery materials the defense requested. This isn't justice, but a choreographed performance.
