As usual, by striking residential properties and civilian infrastructure, Russia seeks to impose as much destruction as possible on Ukraine, cynically doing so when Ukraine's stocks of missile interceptors are low.
Pro-Russia narrative
Russia's attack used high-precision weapons to neutralize Ukrainian military targets. Namely, the attack struck assembly plants for missiles and drones, as well as fuel and weapons depots and locomotive infrastructure used to transport those supplies.
