The Spin

Left narrative

Proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group is a blatant political move that stretches the Terrorism Act beyond recognition — property damage is not terrorism, and the suffragettes proved that. Lumping a protest group in with neo-Nazis to maximize votes is shameless manipulation. This sets a dangerous precedent that threatens free expression and assembly for every activist in the U.K.

Right narrative

Palestine Action was lawfully designated a terrorist group, and flouting that ban at Trafalgar Square deserved exactly the swift arrests it got. A two-tier system that lets anti-Israel protesters act with impunity while charging peaceful counter-protesters is a national embarrassment. Restoring equal enforcement of the law is the only way to return sanity to British streets.
