    The Spin

    Republican narrative

MAHA is taking American health policy and the health of the nation's children into a new era. These recommendations represent a much-needed shift to prioritize children’s health and prevention. This will unite government, farmers and communities to address chronic disease with gold-standard science, greater transparency and less corporate influence.

    Democratic narrative

This report is a red herring. Despite the sweeping rhetoric, the report is weak on specifics and regulation, avoiding bold action on food marketing, pesticides and nutrition, while cutting vital programs. It leaves health disparities and the underlying drivers of disease largely unaddressed. Action, not just proclamations, are necessary.
