The Spin

Democratic narrative

It is astounding that Laura Loomer, a far-right activist who denies 9/11 and hangs out with white nationalists, holds so much sway over the Trump administration. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard appear not to be in charge at all; otherwise, they wouldn't be taking orders from an unelected activist. The Vice Chair of the Intel Committee deserves better than this.

Republican narrative

Mark Warner isn't the victim of a political hit job; he's facing the consequences of his own corruption being exposed by a journalist. Warner, the man who helped fabricate Russia collusion evidence against Trump in 2016, is not a serious person, but an anti-Trump activist masquerading as a Senator to help destroy the president by any means necessary. He should not be allowed near any intel briefings.
