The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

By engaging with Putin, the Trump administration is putting America first. For too long, U.S. taxpayers have bankrolled a war that is not in their interest, while Europe has offered little more than moral support. It's essential for the U.S., therefore, to pursue any avenue necessary to negotiate an end to this brutal conflict, which will save countless lives and dollars.

Anti-Trump narrative

Excluding Ukraine from peace negotiations would be a catastrophic mistake that rewards Russian aggression and undermines international law. Any deal made without Ukraine's participation cannot achieve lasting peace and only encourages Putin's territorial ambitions. For the sake of European security, Ukraine must have a voice in determining its future.
