The Spin

Left narrative

This is a landmark ruling for the Everglades and is a huge relief to the millions of Americans who want to protect this natural environment and the myriad of species it protects. It also sends a clear message to the highest rungs of the U.S. government that they cannot simply ignore environmental law — the administration will be held accountable.

Right narrative

Everyone had anticipated that this judge, appointed by former President Barack Obama, would overstep her authority in an attempt to overturn President Donald Trump's immigration policies, despite the huge mandate he acquired at the last election. Just this week, another judge ruled that the Southern District doesn't have jurisdiction over the site — the state will appeal to protect its use of the site to address the immigration crisis.
