The Spin

Anti-Russia narrative

This U.N. report details the horrific ways Russia has tortured Ukrainian civilians in its detention, including beatings, electrocution, mock executions, and sexual violence. Such abuses are systematic, targeting men, women, and even children, in flagrant violation of international law. They must be met with consequences.

Pro-Russia narrative

The West continues to condemn Russia while ignoring Ukraine’s own systematic torture of Russian POWs. Testimonies collected by an international commission describe beatings, electrocution, waterboarding, sexualized abuse, even attack dogs — acts done to dehumanize captives. True accountability must address atrocities on both sides.
