The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

Prosecutors dropped the ball on this one. Although O'Hanna was filmed raising the flag of Hezbollah — a proscribed terror organization — police did not get the requisite approvals and did not file his charges in time. What should've been a slam dunk instead resulted in O'Hanna being allowed to get away with his crime.

Establishment-critical narrative

Kneecap have bravely and unapologetically used their platform around the world to call out Israel’s genocide and the complicity of Western governments. It is Israel's government that should've been in court on terrorism charges, not the Kneecap rapper.
