Anti-Trump narrative

Once again Trump, who fashions himself as tough on crime, despite his pardoning of Jan. 6 rioters, wants another felon to gain freedom. Aside from his hypocrisy over criminals serving their time, this — coming on the heels of his attacks on mail-in voting — is obviously another ploy to foster distrust in U.S. elections in an attempt to cling to power.

Pro-Trump narrative

Trump has the right to use his position of power to call out injustice when he sees it. In this case, he's speaking out in favor of a supporter who was politically prosecuted for her beliefs about the 2020 election, and didn't actually commit a crime. She should at least be let out while her case is on appeal.
