Trump ran on making the entire country great again, and while Hollywood has certainly gone woke in recent years, that doesn't mean Trump wants the industry to die. What the president-elect wants is to bring the industry back to its glory days. This will require axing its out-of-touch liberal propaganda machine as well as offering tax incentives for studios to bring production back to the US.
If Donald Trump wants to make Hollywood great again, he may want to choose different ambassadors. Stalone, Voight, and Gibson all have deeply problematic issues in the industry. While these men won't help Trump win over hearts, they will certainly continue to tarnish the reputation of Trumpism and its attempt to sway American culture.
So-called "special envoys" aren't that special anymore, and that's because there are too many of them. Whether they're special envoys to remote regions of the world or, in this most recent case, an American industry, these appointees have become obstacles to achieving presidential agendas. Executive agencies can no longer rely on these figureheads to get any real work done.
