Two-thirds of these companies face ongoing federal enforcement actions that Trump can now influence. This pay-to-play scheme lets billionaire contractors buy access while their legal troubles disappear.
Besides the fact that these federal contracts are from when Trump wasn't president, this privately funded ballroom represents smart leadership and fiscal responsibility. The $300 million project eliminates wasteful tent rentals and porta-potties for state events while expanding capacity from 300 to 1,000 guests. Even the Washington Post supports this common-sense upgrade that future administrations will use for decades.
