This was a heinous attack in which three Syrian police officers were killed. Terrorism has threatened innocent lives in Syria for too long — under Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS), those responsible will be tracked down by the authorities and face the consequences of their criminal behavior.
Narrative B
While it has been nearly three months since HTS overthrew the previous government of Bashar al Assad, the change of rulers in Syria has failed to live up to the initial elation, with sectarian violence on the rise and ISIS appearing to be rearing its head again. Those currently in power need to take responsibility for this tragedy, which is partly down to the inefficacy of the current administration.
