The Spin

Right narrative

These common-sense laws protect fairness in women's sports by ensuring biological males can't compete against female athletes. States have every right to preserve opportunities that women and girls fought decades to achieve, preventing the erasure of sex-separated athletics that guarantee fair competition. The Supreme Court should uphold women's sports and recognize the manifest unfairness of trans participation in girl's sports.

Democratic narrative

Categorically excluding transgender students from school sports creates discriminatory environments that harm all youth and violates constitutional equal protection guarantees. These bans ignore individual circumstances and athletic ability, targeting vulnerable students who simply want to participate with their peers. Debates over trans athletes are a mere culture war distraction and pose no threat to women's sports.
