The Spin

Republican narrative

Mail-in voting has turned elections into ballot harvesting contests that favor Democrats. It's time to get back to legitimate vote-earning. Stopping ballots from being injected after Election Day is essential for restoring election integrity. It's time to make Election Day a single day again, not an endless election month.

Democratic narrative

It shouldn't be controversial to count legally cast ballots postmarked by Election Day regardless of postal delays. Republicans attack mail-in voting under the false premise that it leads to fraud, but it's necessary for the participation of disabled voters and overseas service members who have no other choice.
