The war in Gaza has gone on too long and must come to an end as soon as possible. Israel has destroyed Gaza, and Hamas is significantly weakened. Now is the time to end the war and enable Gaza's postwar rehabilitation. Indeed, both sides need to make concessions so that the ceasefire can be fully implemented and the hostages can be returned.

Pro-Israel narrative

Israel never wanted this war, and, if the correct conditions are met, including the demilitarization of Gaza, it may come to an end soon, though nothing is set in stone. However, Trump should be aware that the Palestinian Authority is not a good candidate for taking over Gaza due to its corruption and pro-terror attitude. The conflict will only end when Palestinians choose to live with Israel peacefully.

Pro-Palestine narrative

The plan being put forward for Gaza's future is deeply corrupt and essentially seeks to turn Gaza into some sort of international protectorate. Of course, an end to Israel's genocide is surely necessary, but Trump's proposal is simply unrealistic and only reifies Israel's occupation. The only people who should decide Gaza's future are Palestinians.
