The Spin

Narrative A

It is clear that Elon Musk deliberately conspired to rob the former Twitter employees of their severance pay. Consumed by frustration after being held to his end of the bargain, Musk sought revenge by terminating the employment of the four staffers under false pretenses, so he could unlawfully deny them their pay and shares.

Narrative B

Neither X Corp nor Elon Musk engaged in any wrongdoing concerning the termination of these four former executives. Rather than innocent, these individuals were grossly negligent, wasting tens of millions of dollars on bonuses for Twitter’s external law firms in clear violation of the company’s billing guidelines, which warranted their firings.
