    The Spin

    Narrative A

Algeria acted within its sovereign rights to defend its airspace against a clear violation by the Malian regime's military drone. The radar data conclusively shows this was the third such incursion by Malian aircraft since August 2024, demonstrating a pattern of disregard for international borders. Mali's accusations are nothing more than a desperate attempt to deflect from its own failures in combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability.

    Narrative B

Mali's drone was conducting legitimate counterterrorism operations within its own territory when Algeria deliberately downed it to protect armed groups operating in the border region. This unprovoked aggression represents Algeria's continued interference in Mali's internal affairs and its proximity to terrorists that threaten regional security. The destruction of the drone was clearly intended to hinder Mali's efforts to neutralize armed terrorist groups.
