The Spin

Right narrative

Illegal immigrants are straining the buckling immigration system in America, and they must be deported with due haste. Many countries have expressed openness to third-country deportations, and sending a strong, no-nonsense message is the only way to rectify the crisis at the border. Trump's methodical policy is popular and effective.

Left narrative

This decision to send migrants to Libya, one of the unstable and conflict-wracked nations on earth, is another dark stain on the Trump administration and this country. The recklessness and cruelty of Trump's mass deportation policy are only accelerating; the U.S. needs a pro-American, sane, and humane immigration policy.
