After years of justified self-defense, Israel must now show restraint in Gaza. While recognizing Palestine is morally right, it's currently premature amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Hamas' toxic ideology must first be eradicated, necessitating Israel's temporary occupation of Gaza to ensure peace. At the same time, a timely, conditions-based path to statehood will secure safety for Israelis and Palestinians.
Israel must occupy Gaza City to dismantle Hamas' remaining brigades, which use civilians as shields and steal aid. This is vital to neutralize threats and push for a hostage deal, with intelligence-led operations ensuring hostage safety. Innocent Palestinians must also be relocated south via warned evacuations, with expanded hospitals and aid in Al-Muwasi. Denying Gazans this right, as Europe does, perpetuates peril; relocation offers safety and peace.
Israel's diplomatic claims are a ruse; its true aim is permanent occupation of Gaza, erasing Palestine, while similar moves unfold in the West Bank. As seen in Israel's E1 project, which expands settlements, Gaza faces relentless control, defying official international laws and displacing communities. Only the U.S. can halt this, but Washington's silence signals impending doom.
