The Spin

Narrative A

The Manuel Zelaya regime is desperately trying to annul an election they lost decisively, and it's no surprise that his puppet Salvador Nasralla is effectively collaborating with Libre as his candidacy was meant only to split opposition votes. Candidates must refrain from promoting conspiracy theories and accept certified results. The will of the people deserves respect.

Narrative B

This is no paranoia. The silence of international and domestic election observers regarding the outrageous Trump interference in Honduras' presidential vote and suspicious technical issues delaying results do suggest another electoral fraud to the benefit of the National Party, similar to what happened in the 2017 presidential vote. Honduras' democracy and sovereignty will be further undermined if these altered results are confirmed.
