The Spin

Right narrative

The facts are clear: a Harvard professor fired a potentially lethal weapon twice near a synagogue on Judaism's holiest day, then physically resisted security guards trying to stop him. His absurd "rat hunting" excuse in urban Massachusetts doesn't fool anyone. Harvard's weak response of administrative leave shows dangerous indifference to Jewish safety.

Left narrative

The professor's arrest was an unfortunate misunderstanding blown out of proportion. Police confirmed he was unaware he lived next to a synagogue or that it was a religious holiday, and synagogue leaders stated that they have no reason to believe this was antisemitic. The man was simply trying to deal with a rat problem at his home.
