Israel has no legal authority to detain the activists aboard the Madleen. The interception of the boat and kidnapping of the activists amounts to an act of piracy on international waters. Israel is acting with total impunity in disregard of international law. The activists must be released at once.

It was necessary for Israel to stop this publicity stunt in order to protect its national security. The naval blockade is valid and is in place in order to prevent the terrorist group Hamas from accessing weapons. Israel will act against any attempt to break this blockade and any efforts to support the murderous terror group Hamas.
