The Spin

Narrative A

UNC should be alarmed that it's not going to get what it paid for when it brought Belichick in. He seemed out of place among the pageantry of a college football game, but even worse his team looked like it didn't belong on the field. He was supposed to put together a roster that could compete, and for one night at least, the Tar Heels didn't do that.

Narrative B

UNC fans and administrators might've had unrealistic expectations of what Belichick could bring and they shouldn't give up after just one game. The Tar Heels were well-prepared but then didn't execute well enough to give TCU a game. There's still a lot of promise for this season and many weeks to go before panicking is necessary.
