The Spin

Pro-government narrative

Congress is deliberately trying to sabotage Argentina's economic recovery by forcing through irresponsible spending that will destroy the fiscal balance Milei worked so hard to achieve. It's irresponsible for opposition lawmakers to risk the country's financial stability just to undermine a president who saved Argentina from its worst crisis in history.

Government-critical narrative

Hospitals, universities and provinces in Argentina are in desperate need of resources as Milei has decided to withhold treasury contributions to them. It's the president — not provinces and other institutions — acting irresponsibly, as he has sought to use these funds as a political weapon and to keep most of the funds with the administration.
