WABC Radio has canceled a daily talk show hosted by Rudy Giuliani, after he allegedly violated company policy by discussing unverified claims about the 2020 presidential elections on air.
The station's owner, Republican billionaire John Catsimatidis, argued that Giuliani ignored repeated warnings not to engage in specific topics related to the election cycle, leaving him with no other option.
Giuliani has already been indicted in two states and listed as a co-conspirator for his efforts to overturn the 2020 elections, losing his job and his reputation in the process. And yet, he seems so committed to his own lies that he can't even admit his mistake. Though its hard to feel empathy for him, his downfall is certainly disturbing.
For years, Giuliani discussed the 2020 presidential election every day on his WABC talk show — so it's quite strange that he has been fired just months away from the 2024 vote for violating an alleged existing policy. Catsimatidis betrayed Giuliani to try to avoid a subpoena in the Dominion v. Newsmax lawsuit.
