    The Spin

    Pro-China narrative

Foreign forces and even some Chinese media have banded together to carry out yet another smear campaign against China and its companies in an attempt to harm the relationship between Brazil and China. BYD and Jinjiang Group are doing all they can to help the workers and prove that they have never been in slavery-like conditions.

    Anti-China narrative

Given the special relationship between China and Brazil's left-wing administration, allegations against the Chinese automaker must be treated with utmost seriousness. Even the local Brazilian office of the company has pledged to immediately terminate a contract with Jinjiang for part of the construction work.
