    The Spin

    Narrative A

The digital divide between men and women, specifically in poor countries, remains a major equality issue as women continue to lag behind men in technology access and STEM education. While many organizations are recognizing this issue and trying to address it, much more needs to be done. Equality of internet access and education is not quite enough, as women still face discrimination and difficulty in obtaining key tech skills.

    Narrative B

Much is being made about the digital divide, and in many cases, there's a justifiable demand for equality. However, as we work closer and closer to achieving said equality, the goalposts continue to move. Whether it's on gender, racial, or socioeconomic grounds, there will always be a grievance about inequality, and nothing we do seems to satisfy some demands. Let’s not replace the digital divide with the “not good enough divide.”
