Algeria Offers to Host Palestinian Football Matches Amid Gaza War

Algeria has agreed to host the Palestinian national team's upcoming soccer matches following a request from the Palestinian Football Association (PFA).

In a statement, the Algerian Football Federation (AFF) announced that they would host "all official and non-official matches,” including covering “all associated costs” concerning the Palestinian team’s preparation for 2026 World Cup qualification as well as the 2027 Asian Cup.

The Palestinian team is scheduled to start their 2026 World Cup campaign in the Asian section with a qualifying game against Lebanon in the United Arab Emirates on November 16. Algeria will then host a 2026 World Cup qualifier "home" game between Australia and Palestine on November 21.
