Once again Trump's endorsement has helped to elevate the campaign of a political outsider who aims to challenge the political establishment. If history tell us anything, Mastriano - with Trump by his side - will be a force to be reckoned with in the general election.
Trump has thrown his endorsement behind one of the biggest proponents of his "big lie" that the election was stolen and now he faces what may prove to be his endorsement Waterloo, having also backed the unpopular Mehmet Oz. Trump is squandering key races across the Northeast with his nonsensical brand of defiant politics.
This is the clearest indication yet that Trump is actually no longer in charge of the MAGA movement. Could it be that he's lost control of more authoritarian forces that he unleashed within the Republican Party, making his endorsements weak and after-the-fact?
