Leftist politicians are heavily involved in efforts to label anything counter to their narrative as "disinformation." The sole purpose of this dystopian government agency is to further censor and silence free speech, especially the free speech of the conservative and dissenting voices that are most needed right now.
Republicans are a party addicted to lying to themselves, so this Board is a necessary evil at this moment in history. Yes, the name of the organization leaves something to be desired, and yes, the prospect of this sort of a government agency under a future President DeSantis (for example) is disturbing. But we need this, right now.
This isn't about right or wrong, or right or left, but rather if this new Board can even function. People are generally fueled by confirmation bias and will continue to believe whatever narrative aligns with their existing political views.
