Sen. Manchin wants a ‘strategic pause’ on spending bills

Following months of back-and-forth, he has now also pulled his final $1.8 trillion spending compromise, and said further negotiations are off the table.
Democratic Senator Joe Manchin (WV) called for "strategic pause" in the process toward finalizing the proposed $3.5 trillion dollar spending bill, which can't pass the Senate without his support.
The funding bill is loaded with provisions that have nothing to do with infrastructure, and it will spike inflation and national debt.
