Sheikh Hasina

Sheikh Hasina served as Bangladesh's Prime Minister from 2009 until August 2024, when she fled to India amid massive student-led protests demanding her resignation. The 77-year-old Awami League leader previously held the office from 1996-2001. She is the daughter of Bangladesh's founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and currently remains in exile in New Delhi.
