Michael Waltz

Michael Waltz is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Colonel and the first Green Beret elected to Congress, representing Florida's 6th District from 2019 to 2025 as a Republican before briefly serving as National Security Advisor under President Trump in early 2025. A combat-decorated veteran with four Bronze Stars, Waltz has also worked as a Pentagon and White House policy advisor and authored Hard Truths and Warrior Diplomat, with a focus on national security, defense, and global threats
