Marc Pierini

Marc Pierini is a senior fellow at Carnegie Europe, focusing on the Middle East and Turkey from a European perspective. A former EU diplomat, he served as EU ambassador to Turkey, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, and Morocco. He was also involved in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and key negotiations for the release of Bulgarian hostages from Libya.
