Karen Andersen, CFA, is a strategist and director at Morningstar, Inc., where she has worked as an equity analyst covering the health care sector—including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, managed care, and medical devices—for over 20 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Colorado College and an MBA from DePaul University, and leads the Morningstar Research Services health care team.
